My Big Chop for the Little Princess Trust πŸ’‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Hello Folks!

So as many of you know I made a pledge December last year to grow my hair and have it cut to give to the Little Princess Trust! You can view my last blog about my pledge here

β€œThe Little Princess Trust πŸ‘‘ provide free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. I am so honoured I can give a young person something which I think many of us take for granted.”

I’m really excited to share with you my journey of my Big Chop…

So this was its length at the start of this year. The length started out at line 2 of my jumper 🀣

January 2020

I kept it healthy throughout the year getting little trims regularly as the criteria is very specific about the condition of hair that can be accepted by The Little Princess Trust. πŸ‘‘

So November the 27th came and I had my Big Chop πŸ’‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ for The Little Princess Trust! I felt really excited, but a tad nervous of the change. Lol

So this was it before the big cut. From line 2 to line 5! Not to bad!

27th November 2020

So my lovely hair dresser put my hair into wee plaits which is the part of my hair that will be posted off to The Little Princess trust!

So here goes!!! This was the moment.. of my Big Chop! πŸ’‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

Big Chop in action! πŸ’‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜―
There we have it 2 plaits! 9 inches of my hair on it’s way to the Little Princess Trust! πŸ’‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I am gleaming with smiles under my mask! It felt funny at first that my hair was so light and tiny haha! It has been a few years since it was as short as it is now! I used to wear my hair like this as a child! 🀣 I am super happy at the thought that my hair (which I take for granted every single day) will hopefully make a young person smile after my hair is made into a wig! ☺️ I really wish I could see what the wig looks like and if the person who receives it likes it; however unfortunately that isn’t possible! I really hope they do like it though!☺️

So this is it now after the big chop! From line 9 on my jumper to 0 lines on my jumper πŸ˜‚

It is a win win situation though; 1. The hair from my big chop will make someone very happy 😊 and 2. I have a lovely new doo! Which I actually really love. Plus I can still put up in the tiniest pony tail for placement next month! I am pretty sure my hair will have grown by the time placement starts in January though!

A great big thank you to Anna and all the girls at Beauty Kaer! 😊 Anna did a really great job of my hair and was really kind, and the girls in the shop were really helpful by capturing the photos and videos of my big chop ☺️ Thank you ladies!

So there we have it!

I hope you enjoyed my blog!

Lots of love from
