I am a Scotland Seat Holder for the RCN Student Committee!

I am extremely excited to share with you that I have recently been appointed a Scotland seat Holder on the RCN Student committee.

I am extremely honoured to be a voice for other student nurses across Scotland and the UK.

This role involves working along side another Scotland seat holder and student committee members across the UK so it will be a fantastic opportunity to meet other students nurses alike.

Within this role I intend to embrace the opportunity by bringing compassion, drive, and innovation to promote inclusion and empower the student voice across Scotland, as well as enhancing my leadership skills within nursing.

Coming up….

I am really excited to attend my first committee in London at the RCN Head Quarters this month. I will of course make the most of being in a new place! 🙂

I am also very excited to attend my first board meeting in Scotland at the RCN Headquarters in Edinburgh.

I will also have the chance to work with the Scottish RCN student ambassadors which I am really excited about. It will be great to plan some fun events!

And of course I am also mega excited to attend this years congress which is in Glasgow this year! I will be sharing more information on this very very soon! This is a nursing event that is packed filled with new learning, debates and exhibitions and I highly recommend you sign up and come along! I am also really excited to be apart of the leadership and wellbeing event at this years congress where I will be sitting on a panel with some very inspiring leaders. You can learn more about this event here.

I welcome nursing students to get in touch to share their experiences, stories and any queries that can be be taken forward to improve the student nurse experience- chloe.jackson@reps.rcn.org.uk
