If there is one meal you cannot beat, that’s homemade fish and chips!

Ingredients Required
1 slice of Fresh Haddock per person (Best sourced from the fish monger)
Vegetable oil for pan
Bread crumbs (Ruskoline Crumb)
1-2 Egg depending on how many slices of fish your coating with crumb
Chips (Enough for each plate)
Peas (I prefer the mushy variety, but its up to you ) 😉
Method:
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
Put the chips on an oven baking tray and put in the oven to cook
Now to prepare the fish; crack the eggs in dish and whisk, place the bread crumbs in a separate dish. Dip each slice of fish in the egg and then cover with bread crumbs then place on a plate to one side.
5-10 minutes or so before chips are due to come out cook the fish in a frying pan
Put the garden peas or mushy peas on to start cooking (either on the stove or in the microwave
First step to cook to the fish is to preheat a frying pan with vegetable oil, then place the fish in the pan and give each side of the fish 4 minutes to cook. (Fish must be totally white inside not raw)The top will be a nice golden brown.
Put plates in the oven or microwave to take the chill off…
Carefully remove the plates from oven or microwave and serve; fish, chips and peas on the plate
Enjoy fish and chip dinner accompanied with a spoon of tartar sauce, a drizzle of lemon juice and a couple of pickle onions!
